As we all ease into a new term and academic year, the Health Sciences Writing Centre is here to help you settle in and get ahead. Whether you’re entering your first or final year, navigating new syllabi or planning your next career move, our team of instructors is always in your corner to offer guidance and support.
First-time visitor? Get ahead by setting up your profile in WCOnline and booking a one-on-one appointment so we can get acquainted. Returning or long-time visitor? Our appointment calendar is now live and we look forward to reconnecting with you soon. Seeking community? Inked, our graduate student writing group, is also back in session. Tuesday gatherings are already underway, and Thursday sessions will soon follow on September 24.
This year marks the centre’s 32nd in operation and the first since we launched SCRiPT, a new research lab founded by our director, Dr. Boba Samuels, and long-time instructors Dr. Marvin Lam and Dr. Michael Cournoyea. We’re also welcoming two new faces to the centre, Nicole Dufoe and Sandy Marshall, who join our roster of exceptional instructors with expertise in health sciences writing and research.
Looking ahead, there will be no shortage of opportunities to strengthen your thinking and writing skills as we move through the 2026-2027 year. We hope you’ll take advantage of all we have to offer.
